Details
You had counted the books yesterday. There was definitely one more today.
It was a small green volume with no title, tucked between the gardening guide and a collection of letters. When you reached for it, two pale eyes opened in the gap. The library appeared to be lending more than books this October.
Oxblood, pine and dark walnut bring the warmth of an old study to an entry, a reading nook or the kitchen door. Set the mat near a real bookcase and enjoy the possibility that your shelves have been keeping a few excellent stories to themselves.
