At the harbor, rope is useful before it is beautiful. Coiled on a rail or tied with care, it has a quiet order of its own.

The knot becomes a spare drawing here, framed by deep blue and three small stars. Cream lines catch the eye the way a length of rope catches the last light on a dock.

Let it sit with a blue throw, weathered wood or a plain white bedspread. The coastal feeling is calm enough to keep all year, with a thoughtful place in a Veterans Day room.
